Another
gratuitous stake plate picture on the left.
On the right,
we've finished with the second pass, and are scribing the marks for the third
pass. Its extremely important to mark you lines for raising in order to
give yourself consistency in your results. |

About
halfway through the third (and final) pass. The edges are looking
like a cheap candy bowl, and are being very difficult to manage. Only
Johannes skill was able to allow me to work these difficult wrinkles
out.
On the right,
Johannes puts a base on the bowl before we start a final planishing pass. |

Ok,
I need a pair of these. Much better than the red-handled cutters I have. |

These
two hammers on the left are approximately 200 years old.
Another of a
set of ingenious tools. He uses this to make splints for splinted
vambraces. Take splint, put in between pipe and half-pipe, hit
once, and wa-lah, splints. |

Another
useful tool. Used to make the knuckle pieces for gauntlets. Quick
and easy. |

And
the final piece of our "nifty tools" section, the roping tool.
Johannes uses this to make roped edges for his stuff. |

Beautiful
Phoenix sunset. Mind you, this wasn't the end of the day, we kept
working till it was dark... but still it was a pretty sunset. |
